Wheat Starch

Starch is one of the most common polysaccharide found in nature produced by plants. Wheat, corn, tapioca and potato are the major sources for starch in the world. Due to the unique and exceptional physical and chemical properties of the starch, this natural polymer plays a key role in many industries. In the production of dextrose, dextrin, liquid glucose and other types of Syrup are considered as the main raw material; also, due to its role in improving the physical characteristics, stability of colloidal systems and the effect of concentration, it is used in various industries such as canning, meat industry, production of soups, frozen foods industry, biscuit-making and cake making. It should be noted that different kinds of starch are used in the formulation of various drugs, chocolate, ice cream, chewing gum, coffee, condensed milk and special types of starch in the production of animal feed, textile, oil drilling, adhesive industry, paper and the cosmetic powder.
